Inside the Method

A space where reflection shapes clarity, and clarity guides practice.

Our Story

Our story begins with a shared experience of social work practice shaped by urgency, responsibility, and constant decision-making.

In these conditions, reflection is often reduced to a task something completed to meet a requirement, rather than something held as part of ethical and relational practice.

The Social Work Method emerged from a need to reclaim reflection as meaningful, grounded, and sustaining not as an add-on, but as a foundation for how social work is practised over time.

A person's hands are writing in a notebook on a light wood desk. Nearby, a pair of glasses, a glass of water, and a gold pen are visible. On the desk, there are minimalist decor items, including a silver vase with an orange flower, a small white vase, and a framed piece of art.

THE METHOD

The Social Work Method is built on a simple shift. Reflection is not an add-on. It is foundational.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

  • Reflection before reaction

  • Sustainability over urgency

  • Values as a professional anchor

  • Care as a skilled practice

  • Clarity as an ethical responsibility
